We are members of the North Carolina Association for the Education of Young Children (NCAEYC).

Upper Room Christian Academy (URCA) Preschool offers preschool programs that help to build the foundation for life-long learning and achievement.

A Licensed Facility With Decades of Experience

URCA is a 5-star early childhood education facility that is licensed by the North Carolina Division of Early Childhood Education. We are also members of the North Carolina Association for the Education of Young Children (NCAEYC). Our mission is to partner with families and churches to cover the B.A.S.E. in the lives of the children, bringing about Biblical, Academic, and Social Excellence.

Since 2001, we have provided excellent early education and daycare services to hundreds of families and children. We are a leader in academics, learning-through-play, and S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education. Our family-friendly, Christ-centered, safe, and nurturing environment makes us the ideal place for children to grow, learn, and play.

We realize that a child’s first and most important teachers are their parents, and we are excited to enter into this dynamic partnership, where we aim to support successful early learning and development. To achieve this goal, we use Mother Goose and the Creative Curriculum in conjunction with NC Foundations. Daily lessons include group and individual activities that address the five domains of learning. Devotion is also a part of the daily routine, which helps children recognize God’s creation and his plan for their lives.

Central Domains

Students are given the opportunity to develop their ability to solve problems, share, and respond appropriately to their feelings and the feelings of others, as well as a host of other lessons. They are also able to forge friendships while exercising their fine and gross motor skills in one of our two outdoor learning spaces. Every Friday, we have Chapel service where we provide our students the chance to lead prayer, sing praises, and perform dramatic presentations of their favorite Bible stories. It is wonderful to see them develop a love for the Lord and the arts while gaining self-confidence.

Our central learning domains include the following:
