Scottie Scheffler Wins Masters

Scottie Scheffler became the champion of the Masters on Sunday, his first major title.

The world’s top-ranked player won the title with a 3-stroke victory.

This makes Scheffler the fifth player to win the Masters as the world No. 1.

Along with the green jacket, Scheffler will get a lifetime exemption for the Masters.

The runner-up, Rory McIlroy, shot 64 but was 10 strokes behind Scheffler.

“I have such a great support system,” he said.

He also added that the “reason I play golf is I’m trying to glorify God.”

The 25-year-old is a former University of Texas star.

Also, Sunday marked his fourth victory in his past six events.

Though he faced challenges on Sunday, he never relinquished the lead.
